The regular meeting of the Board of Adjustment of the City of Margate has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 07, 2013, 7:01 PM, immediately following the Planning and Zoning Board meeting which begins at 7:00 PM, in the Commission Chambers, Margate City Hall, 5790 Margate Boulevard, Margate, Florida 33063 for the following purposes:
1) APPROVAL of the minutes from the April 2, 2013 meeting. (Supporting Docs)
2) PERMISSION to build a single story medical office building that is set back an additional 16.5 feet from the designated build-to line, and faces the interior of the development. The Code requires new developments to have a minimum height of two floors of enclosed active use, to have building placement located along the designated build-to line, and to have the buildings face the street(s) where the buildings are located. Section of the Code 6.7. The subject property is located at 3470 NW 62nd Avenue Margate; Margate Shoppes Sub: A portion of Tract A. TOC-G Gateway. 3) PERMISSION to install a third identification wall sign. Code allows a maximum of two identification wall signs for ground-level occupancy where said occupancy has its own direct customer entrance from the exterior of the building, and the occupancy has both roadway frontage and frontage on the main circulation route of an "L" or "U" shaped center. Section of the Code 22.6. The subject property is located at 3470 NW 62nd Avenue Margate; Margate Shoppes Sub: A portion of Tract A. TOC-G Gateway. 4) GENERAL DISCUSSION
All interested persons may be present at this public hearing and be heard regarding the above-mentioned matter. All representations made in front of this Board in the granting of any permit shall be deemed a condition of said permit.
If a person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board of Adjustment with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, she/he will need a record of the proceedings and for such purpose may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. (Anyone desiring a verbatim transcript shall have the responsibility, at his/her own expense, to arrange for the transcript).
Any person wishing to appeal a decision of the Board of Adjustment to the City Commission must do so in the City Clerk's office within seven (7) days of the written decision of the Board.
