The city holds an ISO fire rating of "3". The department has 4 stations and operates 1 ladder company, 3 ALS engine companies, and 5 full time rescue units. These units responded to 16,535 incidents in 2005. The department has a 1 tier rescue system, in which medical patients are treated and transported by the department. We also have a dive rescue team that responds to water emergencies in the many canals, lakes and waterways throughout Broward County.
