Margate Parks & Recreation Offers Zumba Classes – First Class FREE!:

Zumba Classes began on February 5th at the Margate Community Center on Tuesdays: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. / Thursdays. Meet the instructor Jorge Matallana, a certified Zumba instructor for over ten years. Class fee: $30.00 for a 6-class pass or $6.00 per class. First class if FREE!

Although the program is a fun and motivational fitness class to develop all fitness levels, it is always recommended to train at your own pace. Register today at the Margate Community Center located at 6199 NW 10th Street, Margate, FL.

The Margate Parks and Recreation Department is proud to host year-round events for the residents of Margate with a big-city attitude and a small-town feel. Please join us throughout the year for the following events and be sure to check the website frequently for new and updated event information.

Calypso Cove, 6200 Royal Palm Boulevard
Located within Royal Palm Park, the Caribbean-themed aquatic facility features a plunge pool with open and closed slides; a zero-entry pool with an aquatic playground; water sprayers, and water-tipping coconut palms; a regular lap pool; concession sales; complimentary shade umbrellas and lounge chairs; a party room rental; and- of course- seasonal group and individual swim lessons.

This center was opened to the residents of Margate
in October, 1989. It features multi-purpose rooms
which are available for group meetings, classes and other events.

These rooms may also be rented for private parties.

YOGA

Yoga classes are for beginner through intermediate
levels. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday
evenings from 7 PM to 8 PM. The cost is $42 for
six classes and registration is just prior to the
class at the community center. For additional information

New gymnastic/cheerleading COMBINED classes will be offered.

Center. Learn music warm ups, tumbling techniques,
