

The
Citizens' Police Academy is a 12 week course that meets one night per week. The
purpose is to provide community insight into the operations of a modern,
progressive law enforcement agency. Topics include crime scene processing,
weapons, laws of arrest, traffic law enforcement, traffic crash investigation,
identify theft, K-9 operations, and community policing. The academy is open to
any Margate resident or any person who owns, operates or manages a business in
Margate.

We will
provide as much advance notice as possible before the next Citizens' Police
Academy to allow ample time for the submission of applications.

applicants must pass a criminal background check and police records check.
