Neighborhood coordinating officers
The Neighborhood Coordinating Officer (NCO) is a sworn officer whose duties include working alone or in teams, coordinating with other police department divisions or other city or county agencies, to identify and resolve problems in neighborhoods. The NCO handles complex neighborhood problems that require more than a single police response, often mediating long-term neighborhood strife. The NCO also coordinates the Police Explorer Program.
