Roads

Mosquito Control

We are pleased to announce that we have expanded our mosquito spraying service to residents year round. Should you experience a problem with the “pesky” pests, please call 954-972-8126, ext. 14. The spraying is conducted by city personnel who are professionally trained and licensed by the Florida Department of Agriculture. Spraying is done between (2:00 am - 6:00 am) so as to avoid any discomfort or traffic congestion. If you are experiencing a high concentration of mosquitoes at your residence you may call the public works department and they will advise the Roads Foreman who will schedule a special spraying for your area.

Streets – Pot Holes, General Maintenance

There are over 110 lane miles of roadway within the City limits. Each day the Asphalt Crew repairs pot holes and provides general restoration of existing roadways. With the large amount of road way to be maintained, it is virtually impossible for the Foreman to find all areas that may be of concern or become a traffic hazard. Therefore, we welcome your telephone calls to help us locate and identify any possible problem areas. Simply call the Public Works Department, 954-972-8126, ext. 14and leave your name, phone number and location of the area to be repaired. TheForeman will schedule a crew to that location for assessment and repair as soon as possible.

Sidewalks -Cracks, Uneven Sidewalks, General Repair

The Maintenance Crew is out on a daily basis addressing sidewalk repairs. If you have a cracked or broken sidewalk, (that is not the area of access into driveway*), please call so we can schedule the repairs as soon as possible to avoid possible pedestrian accidents. *The sidewalk area that connects the driveway of your residence is the sole responsibility of the homeowner.
