It's the most wonderful time of the year as the City of Margate kicks off the holiday season at the Winter Festival on Friday, Dec. 17, from 6-10 p.m. at Margate Blvd. and State Road 7.

This free, family-friendly event will include real "Florida style" snow, rides for children, arts and crafts activities, music, a craft fair, and food vendors. The most popular man of the season Santa Claus, will be posing for photographs with children who have been extra good this year, so make sure to bring your cameras and your selfie-ready smiles.

“As a first-time dad and now Mayor of Margate, this holiday season is very special to me, and I get to celebrate it among our friends in the community,” said Mayor Antonio V. Arserio. “The Winter Festival is the event of the year that really captures the festive wholesome spirit of the holidays, so don’t miss a minute of it!”
