WHAT: The City of Margate, FL, will unveil the installation of Aden Perry Hero Life Rings in 11 local sites near bodies of water. These flotation devices are being donated by the Aden Perry Good Samaritan Foundation, created by his mother Sarah, who, since losing her son, has dedicated her life to keeping his legacy alive.
WHEN: Thursday, May 25, 10 a.m.
WHERE: Veterans Memorial Park, 7044 NW 1 Street, Margate.
A total of 12 rings will be installed in 11 sites around the City of Margate, including Veterans Memorial Park, Firefighters Dog Park, Kaye Stevens Park, Legacy Park, Lemon Tree Lake Park, Winfield Park, two locations on Rock Island Road and 9th Court and 18th Street, two locations on SW 11th Street and State Road 7, and C14 canal in Margate.
WHY: Since the tragedy, Sarah Perry has devoted her life to helping increase safety for everyone. The rescue rings are attached to a rope and are meant to be used by anyone if a water rescue is necessary.
