Take a Holiday Lights Tour in Margate

The holiday season is such a beautiful time, and each year, the City of Margate recognizes homeowners for contributing to the festive spirit with its Annual Holiday Decorating Contest. This year, we received more than 20 entries. 

While we will post photos of the entries, we encourage our residents to spend an evening touring the City to view the homes in person. The true experience of seeing the twinkling lights and beautiful decorations will surely get you in the holiday spirit! Click here to view the map and addresses.

Movies in the Park is this Saturday, December 21st

Movies in the Park This Saturday

The City of Margate Parks and Recreation Department Movies in the Parks series continues this Saturday, December 21st with The Lion King. The movie will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, 1695 Banks Road.

In The Lion King, a young lion returns to reclaim the throne that was stolen from him and his father by his treacherous and fratricidal uncle after spending his childhood in exile under the care of a friendly warthog and meerkat.

Upcoming Movies in the Park are as follows: 
• January 25: Toy Story 4
• February 22: The Princess and the Frog

Movies in the Park features free outdoor movie screenings for the entire family. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

Utility Billing is moving to DEES on December 23rd

Utility Billing Now Located at DEES

As of Monday, December 23rd, the City of Margate's Utility Billing Division will be located in the Department of Environmental and Engineering Services (DEES) building. Utility billing customers who prefer to pay their bill in person, or by using the drive-up drop box, will have to make their payment at the DEES Building located at 901 NW 66th Avenue. The Utility Billing office is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the drop box is available 24/7.

The United States Census Bureau is recruiting thousands of people to assist with the 2020 Census count. 2020 Census jobs provide great pay, flexible hours, weekly pay, and paid training.
