Water Main Improvement Construction

Notice of Water Main Improvement Construction

Beginning on Monday, February 3rd, construction crews will be working in the area of NW 18th Street, NW 16th Court, NW 65th Terrace, NW 65th Avenue. The contracted work crews from Marcdan Inc. will be replacing 2” galvanized steel water main lines with 6” ductile iron pipes.

As a reminder, the City’s Department of Environmental and Engineering Services has contracted with Marcdan Inc. to complete improvements to the City’s smallest diameter water mains. The citywide project will enhance water delivery, increase water pressure, and improve water quality for many of our residents and businesses. Work will be done in the public right-of-way.

Every effort will be made to minimize service interruptions.  Any damage to the sod due to the construction work will be restored appropriately.

Final restoration, including sod, will take place only after all the piping has been installed and passed the required testing. This may occur up to two (2) months after apparent completion of work in your area.

Please drive slowly and adhere to instructions from the traffic management team when driving in the area.
