Census 2020 is April 1, 2020

Everyone Counts in Margate

Watch your mailbox in March for your Census 2020 instructions. By participating, you are helping the City of Margate obtain its fair share of $700 billion in Federal funding EACH YEAR over the next 10 YEARS, for vital programs.

Completing the Census is mandatory, and by federal law, all responses to the U.S. Census Bureau are kept completely confidential. Answers can only be used to produce statistics – they cannot be used for law enforcement purposes or to determine personal eligibility for government benefits.

When completing the Census form, it is crucial that you report everyone living in your home. This includes every child, family member or acquaintance that may reside in the home.

In 2020, new technology will make it easier than ever to respond to the Census. For the first time, responses will be made online, by phone as well as by mail. The online Census form is available in English and 12 additional languages.

Do your part to make sure Margate Counts in 2020. Complete your household’s Census 2020 form - online, by phone or by mail - before April 1, 2020. Visit margatefl.com/census2020 to find out more.
