Last Month to Complete the Census

The U.S. Census Bureau is ending all counting efforts for the 2020 Census on September 30th, a month sooner than previously announced. Please! All Margate residents must be counted.

Census takers will be going door-to-door to follow-up with residents who have not submitted their census form.

To avoid a visit from a census taker, households can still respond online at 2020census.gov, by phone at 844-330-2020, or by completing and mailing back the paper questionnaire they received. Responses can be made in one of 13 languages online or by phone.

• All vehicle occupants must wear a mask.
• All attendees must remain in the vehicles at all times.
• All items to be disposed/shred must be located in the trunk, hatch, or bed of the vehicle (no items will be removed from the cabin of a vehicle).

Items not accepted include explosives, bio-hazardous waste, medical waste, appliances, microwaves, shavers, sewing machines, and business or commercial generated waste.
