Student Government Day

Student Government Day 2017

With excitement, 21 students from Margate STEM Magnet Middle School walked into City Hall as participants of the City’s Annual Student Government Day. Hosted by the City Clerk’s Office, Student Government Day provides the school’s Student Council members with an up-close view of local government operations in a fun and engaging manner. The students learned about the policy-making process of local government by participating in a mock Commission Meeting alongside City officials, they toured various Departments and asked thought-provoking questions of staff, and they gained an increased understanding of how the City impacts their quality of life. Here’s to a bright future with these up-and-coming City leaders!
