Congrats to Liberty Elementary

We are so proud of Liberty Elementary School! Principal Levine, teachers and students of this amazing elementary school were honored by Congressman Ted Deutch recently for creating a supportive learning environment and community for all students on the autism spectrum! Congressman Deutch, Mayor Arlene Schwartz and Vice Mayor Anthony Caggiano toured the classrooms and even joined in on some class lessons! Congratulations to the Liberty Elementary School family.

Coming this Saturday! Sounds at Sundown is set for Saturday, May 5th from 5-10 p.m. Invite your family and friends to join you at the corner of Margate Boulevard and State Road 7 for a fun evening of jazz, food trucks, pop-up shops and DIY activities.

Groove + Green on May 13th

Groove+Green: Music, Brunch, & Marketplace

Groove+Green is an all *new* twice monthly event series that will take place on the 2nd and 4th Sundays! Groove+Green kicks off on Sunday, May 13th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the northwest corner of Margate Boulevard and State Road 7. 

The event features live music, brunch, a mimosa bar, farmer's market, artisan pop-up shops with handmade and fair trade products, a retro and flea-style pavilion, and DIY activities.

Fishing Clinic on May 26th

Free Fishing Clinic for Kids May 26th 

The City of Margate will host a Fishing Clinic on Saturday, May 26th from 9 to 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 7044 NW 1st Street in Margate.
Children ages 12 and under are invited to the hands-on clinic that will teach them the sport and basics of fishing. The event will also give participants the opportunity to go fishing with experts. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Register now through Friday, May 25th at the Parks and Recreation Office, 6199 NW 10th Street, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is no entry fee, but spaces are limited.
All fishing equipment and supplies will be provided.
The Clinic is presented by the City of Margate Parks and Recreation Department, Community Emergency Response Team and the Youth Environmental Alliance - YeaFrog.
