"Convo with Cops" on Sept. 8th

On Saturday, September 8th, come on over to Wendy's to meet and mingle with your Margate police officers. "Convo with Cops," an informative and fun event with no agenda or speeches planned, will take place from noon until 2 p.m. at Wendy's, located at 499 N. State Road 7. 

Join us to have a Wendy's frosty and a good time! Acting Chief Jon Shaw and our police officers are excited to meet and chat with you!

Dive-In Movie on September 8th

"Inside Out" is Saturday's Dive-In Movie at Calypso Cove

Dive-In Movie Night is this Saturday, September 8th at Calypso Cove Aquatic Center, located at 6200 Royal Palm Boulevard. The feature presentation, “Inside Out” (Rated PG), will begin at 7:15 p.m. and moviegoers can splash around while enjoying the film.

Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available for purchase. Admission for residents is $2/person ages 4 and older, $1 for children 3 and under.

About the Movie
In the movie, emotions run wild in the mind of a young girl who is uprooted from her peaceful life in the Midwest and forced to move to San Francisco. Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness each have their own ideas about how she should handle her new surroundings.

Groove and Green is Sunday, September 9th

Groove + Green on Sunday, Sept. 9th

The City of Margate's next Groove + Green event is set for Sunday, September 9th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of Margate Boulevard and State Road 7.

Hosted by the Margate Community Redevelopment Agency, Groove and Green features live music, brunch offerings, a mimosa bar, farmer's market, artisan pop-up shops with handmade and fair trade products, a retro and flea-market style pavilion, and DIY activities. Patriot Day Ceremony on September 11th

Patriot Day Ceremony on Sept. 11th

The Margate-Coconut Creek Fire Rescue Department and the Margate Police Department will hold its annual Patriot Day Ceremony on Tuesday, September 11th at 9 a.m. at Firefighters Park, 2500 Rock Island Road.

City officials will join in commemorating all fallen firefighters and police officers – heroes who died in the line of duty. 

This ceremony is free and open to the public.
