Prescription Drug Take-Back on October 27th

Prescription Drug Take-Back Oct. 27

On Saturday, October 27th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. bring your unused or unwanted prescription medications to Walgreens, 3000 N. State Road 7 for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. Let's work together so this does not happen!

The Margate Police Department, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration, will be collecting unused, expired or unwanted medications for safe disposal. Participants may dispose of medication in its original container with the prescription label removed.

Acceptable medications include: Prescription and over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and pet medicine.

This event allows residents to turn in unwanted and potentially addictive drugs with no questions asked.
