Movies in the Park Features Peter Rabbit on November 17th

Catch Peter Rabbit on Saturday

This Saturday, November 17th, Movies in the Park will feature Peter Rabbit (Rated PG). The movie will begin at 6 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, 1695 Banks Road.

Peter Rabbit is a stubborn and naughty rabbit that causes chaos in the home and garden of an irritable human named Mr. McGregor. However, their rivalry grows even more heated when they both fall in love with a new neighbor who adores animals.

Movies in the Park features free outdoor movie screenings for the entire family. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be available for purchase.

City Hosts the 13th Annual Holiday Decorating Contest

Enter the Holiday Decorating Contest

It's that festive time of year again, and we're excited to see how our friends and neighbors have decorated their homes for the holidays.

If you've transformed your home or business (or plan to), into a holiday winter wonderland, then the City of Margate wants to recognize you for sharing in the holiday spirit. Enter the 13th Annual Margate Holiday Decorating Contest for a chance to win a great prize and be named "Best Decorated" home or business. The City also awards second and third place prizes.

Winter Festival Set for December 14th

Vendors Needed for Winter Festival

Calling all food and craft vendors! The City of Margate is accepting applications for the annual Winter Festival, which will take place on Friday, December 14th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. along Margate Boulevard from State Road 7 to Northwest 58th Avenue (the clock tower). 

As one of the City's larger events, the Winter Festival draws a crowd thousands from all across the tri-county area.

The event will once again feature a one-of-a-kind 3D holiday Paintscaping light show. This amazing show will transform the walls of City Hall into a magical winter wonderland extravaganza that will surely take your breath away.
