Recycle Right! When in doubt, throw it out.

When in Doubt, Throw it Out!

Over the past few years, we have been recycling more, which is great. But, we’ve also had an increase in the level of non-recyclable items, “contamination,” placed in recycling carts. Let’s work together to reduce our contamination rate.

Follow these three simple rules to Recycle Right! (1) Recycle empty plastic bottles and jugs, cans, paper, and cardboard. (2) Ensure items are clean and dry. (3) Do not bag your recyclables; empty recyclables directly into the recycling cart!

Know the difference between recyclable items and the most common contaminants! Learn more about how you can Recycle Right!
