New Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Guidelines

NEW! Weekly Commingled Bulk and Yard Waste Collection

Please be advised that bulk and yard waste are now collected weekly on your first garbage collection day. For example, if your garbage is collected on Monday and Thursday, your bulk and yard waste will be collected on Mondays.

Weekly bulk pickup began this week. We are aware of the neighborhoods that did not get serviced as scheduled this week. Our contractor, Waste Management, underestimated and did not have enough trucks on route to handle the large quantity of bulk waste. Additional bulk trucks have been deployed this week to ensure that the entire City is serviced.

Please know that personal containers will no longer be allowed for collection. Yard waste must be placed in clear plastic bags, loose at the curb, or in your garbage cart. For a list of detailed guidelines, go to margatefl.com/bulkandyardwaste.
