Movies in the Park on Saturday, March 9th

The final movie of the City’s 2018-2019 Movies in the Park series will take place this Saturday, March 9th with “Incredibles 2.” The movie will begin at 7 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, 1695 Banks Road. 

Everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back! In the movie, “Incredibles 2,” Elastigirl (the mom) is in the spotlight, leaving Mr. Incredible at home with the kids. It’s a tough transition for everyone. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

Pack your lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be available for purchase or you may bring your picnic baskets. See you on Saturday!

Groove + Green on Sunday, March 10th

Groove + Green will take place on Sunday, March 10th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of Margate Boulevard and State Road 7.
 
Hosted by the Margate Community Redevelopment Agency, Groove + Green features live music, brunch offerings, a pop-up marketplace, a farmer's market, and other activities.

In addition to food shopping, attendees can also enjoy brunch from food trucks and food stands. Guests 21 years and older can enjoy sparkling mimosas and other beverage options.

Citywide Crime Watch Meeting on March 14th

The Margate Police Department is excited to announce its first citywide Crime Watch Keynote, which will take place on Thursday, March 14th from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Abundant Life Church (7955 Royal Palm Boulevard)!

This meeting is for all residents, business owners, crime watch groups, and anyone who takes part in activities within our city. Anyone interested in starting up a neighborhood crime watch group should attend to get helpful information. Attendees will learn crime prevention tips and have an opportunity to speak with representatives from each unit of the Police Department. The goal of this meeting is to provide the public with knowledge and crime prevention awareness that will keep everyone safe.

Spring Clean Up and Garage Sale on March 16th

Vendors Needed; Register Today!

It’s that time of year again! Spring cleaning is upon us, so why not clean out your garage and turn your unused items into cash at the City of Margate’s Annual Spring Clean Up and Garage Sale?

The Garage Sale will take place on Saturday, March 16th from 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Oriole Park, located at 7055 NW 1st Street (NE corner of NW 1st street / Rock Island Rd.). 

Pre-registration is required for VENDORS at a price of $10 for residents and $20 for non-residents per space. Each year, more than 150 vendors and hundreds of shoppers participate in the event. The Spring Clean Up is a great way to de-clutter your home and make some extra money in the process. The registration deadline is Friday, March 15th or until full.

Don’t have any personal household items to sell? Then, come out to the Garage Sale to shop for your treasures at great bargain prices.
