Celebrate Florida Bicycle Month

The City of Margate is inviting residents to celebrate Florida Bicycle Month with a bike ride along the Broward County Cypress Greenway Trail (C-14 Canal) on Saturday, March 23rd.

WHAT: Florida Bicycle Month Bike Ride

Margate Police Department will provide bicycle safety information, and assist with crossing pedestrians across Rock Island Road.

WHEN: March 23, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

WHERE: Meet at Veterans Memorial Park 
7044 NW 1st Street, Margate, FL 33063

WHY: Celebrate Florida Bicycle Month. This event will highlight the Broward County Cypress Greenway Trail, a public amenity, and educate Margate residents on safe bicycle friendly areas located in the city of Margate.

Neighbors Meeting Neighbors is a program coordinated by the City of Margate Parks and Recreation Department that invites residents to build connections among their neighbors and spark discussion through common interests.

Crime Watch Meeting on Thursday, March 14th

Citywide Crime Watch Meeting Tomorrow, March 14th

The Margate Police Department is excited to announce its first citywide Crime Watch Keynote, which will take place on Thursday, March 14th from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Abundant Life Church (7955 Royal Palm Boulevard)!

This meeting is for all residents, business owners, crime watch groups, and anyone who takes part in activities within our city. Anyone interested in starting up a neighborhood crime watch group should attend to get helpful information. Attendees will learn crime prevention tips and have an opportunity to speak with representatives from each unit of the Police Department. The goal of this meeting is to provide the public with knowledge and crime prevention awareness that will keep everyone safe.

Spring Clean Up and Garage Sale on March 16th

Vendors Needed for Spring Clean Up and Garage Sale

The City's annual Spring Clean Up and Garage Sale is set for Saturday, March 16th from 7 a.m. until noon. The event takes place at Oriole Park, located at 7055 NW 1st Street (NE corner of NW 1st Street / Rock Island Road). 

Shopping at the Garage Sale is always a fun time as you hunt for treasures and get great bargains. Each year, more than 150 vendors and hundreds of shoppers participate in the event.

Dive In Movie Night on March 23rd at Calypso Cove

Dive In Movie on March 23rd

Hang out, relax or splash around in the lap pool while watching the movie "Ralph Breaks the Internet*."

Join us for the Dive in Movie on Saturday, March 23rd  from 7 to 10 p.m. at Calypso Cove, 6200 Royal Palm Boulevard. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available for purchase.
