Prescription Drug Take-Back is Saturday, April 27th

Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. Let's work together so this does not happen!

On April 27, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Margate Police Department, alongside Drug Enforcement Administration with be hosting a National Prescription Drug Take-Back Event! Tree Giveaway is Saturday, April 27th

In celebration of Earth Month, the City of Margate Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a Free Tree Giveaway for Margate residents only on Saturday, April 27th from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., while supplies last. The Tree Giveaway will take place at Oriole Park, located at 7055 NW 1st Street.

Over 350 trees will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each household will receive ONE TREE per residential address. Please bring a photo ID and proof of Margate residency.

Margate residents will choose from various types of trees. Each tree has a minimum height of 4ft – 6ft or size of 15 gallons, depending on the species. The Tree Give-Away Program is funded by the City of Margate Parks and Recreation.

Florida Family Safety Fest is Saturday, April 27th

The Florida Family Safety Fest is set for Saturday, April 27th at the corner of Margate Boulevard and State Road 7. This fun-filled event starts with a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the main event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with live safety demonstrations by fire and police personnel, hands-on activities, music, food and so much more. Sounds at Sundown is May 4th

Mark your calendar! Join us for our next Sounds at Sundown on Saturday, May 4th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the corner of Margate Boulevard and State Road 7.

The Big City Dogs will be playing your favorite country music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Sounds at Sundown is a free monthly concert series that takes place on the first Saturday of the month. Enjoy live music and food trucks serving up delicious snacks, meals, and desserts. Arts and crafts vendors will also be selling their wares. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready to dance the night away underneath the stars.
