Sounds at Sundown continues on Saturday, May 4th with Big City Dogs and a host of food trucks!

Sounds at Sundown is a monthly concert series that takes place on the first Saturday of the month from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the corner of Margate Boulevard and 441. Enjoy activities for the kids, food trucks, a full bar, arts and crafts vendors and live music!

Big City Dogs is a South Florida based Classic Rock and Blues Band that will be performing hits of the ’60s thru the 2000s from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

Memorial Day Ceremony on May 27th

Mark your calendar and plan to join the City of Margate for one of its most popular events, the annual Memorial Day Ceremony. City officials, residents and members of the Armed Forces will come together on Monday, May 27th at 9 a.m. to honor the men and women who have paid the ultimate price for our country. 

The Ceremony will take place at Veterans Memorial Park, which is located at 7044 N.W. 1st Street (S.E. corner of Rock Island Road and N.W. 1st Street). 

The Memorial Day ceremony will include the Presentation of Colors and the National Anthem, a keynote address by a representative of the United States Armed Forces, a Presentation of Awards to our elementary school essay contest winners, a live band, rifle salute, the playing of “Taps”, and complimentary refreshments.

Youth Summer Camp Registration Open

Register Now for Summer Camp

Registration for the 2019 Youth Summer Camp is open, and it's filling up fast (The Teen Camp is already full!).

The City’s Youth Summer Camp Recreation Program, for kids ages six through 12, is loads of fun with twice-weekly trips to the City’s own Calypso Cove waterpark and Friday field trips to popular attractions in the South Florida area. Children will participate in daily “Fun Zone” activities which include arts and crafts, camp news, cooking, health and fitness, science, sports, music, and drama.

The summer youth camp will take place from June 10th through August 2nd - operating from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Margate Community Center, 6199 NW 10th Street.
