Emergency Road Closure Notice

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Please be advised that until further notice the outside two lanes of east bound Atlantic Boulevard just east of SR 441 is closed in response to an emergency force main break. At this time there is no determination as to when the lanes will be re-opened.

Note: Other than the traffic impact, this will not affect residents.

Water Chlorination Notice

Temporary Conversion of Free Chlorine

To maintain high water quality in the City’s water distribution system, the City of Margate Water Treatment Plant will change its treatment process temporarily to increase the level of free chlorine disinfection from July 30th through August 20th. This proactive measure prevents bacterial growth in the water mains and keeps the water safe for potable uses. Margate Cares - Project Autism

Margate PD Launches Project Autism

The Margate Police Department has launched a new program, Margate Cares - Project Autism. This program allows officers the ability to better serve our community by maintaining a database of autistic individuals. The database will be kept confidential and only shared with officers responding to an incident involving someone with autism.

Upcoming Road Closure

Upcoming Road Closure on Southgate Boulevard

ROAD CLOSURE: On Monday, July 29th, all eastbound lanes of Southgate Boulevard, between SW 64th and 65th Avenues, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Crews will be installing a new concrete pole and moving the cables from the old pole to the new one. Please take alternate routes or follow the detour signs. Expect delays.
