Sounds at Sundown on August 17th

Due to a stormy evening, this month's Sounds at Sundown was postponed. The event is now scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 17th from 5 to 10 p.m. at the corner of Margate Boulevard and State Road 7.

Come early and plan to spend your evening dancing the night away with the Florabama Band, a Kenny Chesney tribute band. The band takes the stage from 6 to 9 p.m.

Food trucks, arts and craft vendors and family-friendly activities will add even more fun to your night. Free parking will be available. Admission is free. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

Dive In Movie Features Secret Life of Pets 2 on September 7th

The City of Margate will host Dive-In Movie Night on Saturday, September 7th at Calypso Cove Aquatic Center, located at 6200 Royal Palm Boulevard. The feature presentation, “The Secret Life of Pets 2” (Rated PG), will begin at 7:15 p.m., and moviegoers can splash around while enjoying the film.

Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be available for purchase. Admission for residents is $2/person ages 4 and older, $1 for children 3 and under.

About the Movie
Max and his pet friends explore the idyllic farm they now call home once their owner is absent. Hilarious circumstances ensue as the formerly urban denizens acquaint themselves with their new pastoral neighbors.
