Hurricane Dorian Advisory

With Hurricane Dorian posing a threat to Florida, the City of Margate is providing this update for the benefit of the public. For non-emergency calls, please call (954) 764-4357 (HELP).

City Hall Open on Friday, August 30th
The City of Margate will operate its normal business hours on Friday, August 30th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please note, the City will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2019 in observance of Labor Day.

Sandbags Available to Margate Residents
Sandbags will be available at the Margate Sports Complex, 1695 Banks Road. Please bring your ID as each Margate household will receive a maximum of 10 bags. Bag will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

Solid Waste and Recycling Collection on Friday, August 30th
The City of Margate and Waste Management will operate its regularly scheduled solid waste collection services on Friday, August 30th. 

Please check back on Friday afternoon for updates to collection services over the weekend and into next week. We kindly ask that you DO NOT trim your trees and landscaping at this time. As a reminder, professional tree trimmers are required to remove landscape debris from your property.

Also, DO NOT place bulk trash out until further notice.
