Movies in the Park Kicks Off This Saturday, Oct. 12th 

The City of Margate Parks and Recreation Department will kick off its 2019-2020 Movies in the Park series on Saturday, October 12th with Aladdin. The movie will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, 1695 Banks Road. 

In Aladdin, a street rat pursues the princess of Agrabah with the help of a powerful genie who can grant him three wishes. His primary opponent is a malevolent sorcerer who serves as the city's grand vizier and the chief advisor to the Sultan.

Upcoming Movies in the Park are as follows: 
• November 23: The Lego Movie 2
• December 21: The Lion King
• January 25: Toy Story 4
• February 22: The Princess and the Frog

Movies in the Park features free outdoor movie screenings for the entire family. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

Prescription Drug Take Back Set for Oct. 26th

Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. Let's work together so this does not happen!

On October 26, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Margate Police Department, alongside Drug Enforcement Administration with be hosting a National Prescription Drug Take Back Event! Bring all of your old, unwanted prescription pills/drugs for proper disposal!

Fall Festival Set for October 26th

Vendors Needed for Fall Festival

Be a vendor at the City of Margate's popular Fall Festival! Thousands of families attend this fun-filled event that is set for Saturday, October 26th from 6-11 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex.

Food and craft vendors must pre-register. Vendor space is limited and filled on a first come, first served basis. . To register, please download the vendor application form at margatefl.com or contact the City of Margate Parks and Recreation Department by calling (954) 972-6458.
