Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11th

To honor our heroes, the City of Margate will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, November 11th  beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 7044 N.W. 1st Street.

Join us as we honor our military veterans who have served in all United States  military branches - Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard. This annual ceremony honors our veterans for their dedicated and loyal service to our country. We salute them for the sacrifices they have made for our nation's freedom. 

Refreshments will be provided. The ceremony is free and open to the public.

Utility Billing Division Moving on December 23rd

Utility Billing Division Moving to New Location on Dec. 23rd

The City of Margate's Utility Billing Division is moving to a new location! Beginning on Monday, December 23rd, utility billing customers who prefer to pay their bill in person, or by using the drive-up drop box, must take their payment to the DEES Building located at 901 NW 66th Avenue. 

The current location on the second floor of City Hall will permanently close as of 6 p.m. on Friday, December 20th. The drive-up drop box, which will be relocated to the DEES parking lot, will not be available on Friday, December 20th.

The Utility Billing Division's new location will be open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the drop box will be available 24/7. For more information about Utility Billing, visit margatefl.com/WaterBilling.

Get involved with your City government. Join us for the next City Commission Meeting, which will take place on Wednesday, November 6th at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. Click here to review the meeting agenda.

City Commission Meetings are broadcast live on the City’s local access channel, Comcast Channel 78. Meetings normally take place the first Wednesday of the month beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the third Wednesday of the month beginning at 7 p.m. (Meeting dates are occasionally different. Please check website for dates.)

Winter Festival on December 13th

Winter Festival Set for December 13th

The City of Margate, in partnership with the Margate Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), will host its annual Winter Festival on Friday, December 13th from 6 to 10 p.m. The event will be located along Margate Boulevard between US 441/SR 7 and NW 58th Avenue. 

This free family-friendly event will include real “Florida Style” snow, rides for the children, arts and crafts activities, local group performances, a craft fair, food vendors, and pictures with Santa (bring your own camera). 

Please be advised that Margate Boulevard (from US 441/SR 7 to NW 58th Avenue) will be closed from approximately 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. on December 13th.

Food and craft vendors are welcome. Advanced registration is required. To register as a vendor, download the vendor application at margatefl.com/winterfestival, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (954) 972-6458 or email parksrec@margatefl.com (registration fees apply).
