1. Are bulk and yard waste collected together?

Yes, bulk and yard waste are collected together once per week on your first garbage collection day. If your garbage collection is on Monday and Thursday, your bulk and yard waste will be collected on Mondays.

2. Why does my yard waste need to be placed in a clear bag?

This applies only to small size yard waste (grass clippings, leaves, tree/plant trimmings, etc.). These items must be placed in a clear bag. This allows the hauler to ensure that only yard waste is being collected. 

3. Where can I get clear plastic bags for yard waste?

City staff surveyed local stores and found clear plastic bags available at the following locations at the time of the survey:

Clear plastic bags can also be found online through Amazon, Google, and various other online retailers.

4. Do I need to bundle tree branches and palm fronds?

No. Larger size yard waste items like tree branches and palm fronds do not need to be bundled. Simply place them in a neat pile within three (3) feet of the curbline on your yard waste collection day. Please keep in mind that no items can be longer than six (6) feet in length and no larger than eight (8) inches in diameter.

5. Where can I dispose of my construction and demolition debris and bulk waste (for a fee)?

The following facilities accept construction and demolition debris and bulk waste for a fee. We recommend contacting the facilities prior to bringing your waste to ensure acceptability of waste, hours of operations, cost, acceptable methods of payment, and any limitations.
