Transportation
Transportation is provided to and from the Northwest Focal Point Senior Center for members 60 years of age and older residing in all or a portion of the following cities: Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Lauderhill, Lauderdale Lakes, Margate, North Lauderdale, Pompano (west of the turnpike), Sunrise and Tamarac.
In addition, transportation is provided from the Center to different local grocery stores and banks. Tuesday's destination varies according to members' requests. Please see below the weekly schedule or call for more information, 954-973-0300.
No shopping on the 3rd Friday of every month.

For Daily Transportation to & from the Center
- After you register for Northwest Focal Point Senior Center membership, review our schedule of daily activities and decide which days you would like to attend.
- Call the Transportation Department to schedule transportation. Please note that it takes a week to establish initial transportation.
- We will do our best to honor your request for the days you have chosen. Please be mindful that all requests for new services are dependent upon availability in your area.
For Transportation to Doctor’s Appointments
- This service is a courtesy of the Margate City Commission and is therefore only available to Senior Center members who are Margate residents on a first-come, first-served basis.
- We request a minimum of 48 hours' notice, however, the sooner you call, the better.
- This is a morning shuttle service only - the first pickup time is at 9:30 a.m. and the service ends at noon.
- We can transport you to doctors’ offices in the following cities:
- Coconut Creek
- Coral Springs
- Margate
- North Lauderdale
- Parkland
- Tamarac (as far south as the University Hospital).
Service is suspended on the third Friday of every month due to mandatory driver training.
