David Scholl began his career in the fire service in 2008 as a certified firefighter and paramedic. He then volunteered as a firefighter/paramedic for 5 years. David then started his career with the city of Margate in 2012 as a certified fire inspector. While serving the Department, David was then promoted to work as firefighter/paramedic while still fulfilling the roles as a fire inspector part time. He continued his education by receiving Certifications as a fire inspector 2, fire investigator and finishing his associate’s degree in emergency medicine. David was certified by Broward County Board of Rules & Appeals in 2019 as a certified fire plans examiner.

David Scholl was promoted to Fire Code Official in 2020 and serves the City proudly to make sure that all businesses are up to code and that the fire safety standards are met.
